Simple easy dinner tonight ... sesame seared tuna with a delicious asian inspired salad 🥗 for me and veggie noodles 🍝 for the boys. Yum!
So quick and easy to make... I even got the boys chopping veggetables today... I’ve always been cautious about giving them knives 😱 but after seeing so many Instagram posts with children chopping I decided to go for it.... much to my surprise the knives were used for chopping the veggies and not for sword fights as I had imagined!! ⚔️ 😂

👩🏻⚕️ I think the best way to get children to eat a varied diet and try new things is to get them involved from the beginning... get them in the kitchen helping with the preparation. Touching and maybe trying the new food items raw? Or cooked?... I find I often have to introduce new foods multiple times and eventually we get there... except avocados 🥑 I’m still trying with those... 🙄 what’s not to love about avocados kids?!!
👩🏻🔬 Recipe: (serves 4)
Marinade 4 tuna steaks in the juice of 1 lime, some finely sliced garlic, salt and pepper for an hour or so.
Dip each side into 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds and sear each side on a hot frying pan with a little olive oil. Serve immediately.
Salad: 🥗 .
600gms beansprouts - cooked
4 carrots 🥕
1/2 cucumber 🥒
2 red peppers
1-2 red chillis 🌶
Handful fresh coriander - chopped
2 limes juice & grated rind
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2cm chunk fresh ginger - minced
Finely slice all the vegetables and mix with the dressing ingredients. Serve right away. Enjoy 😋
