It has been quite of a journey for both of us this year. Starting with beastly gym sessions ending at daily check-ins with each other over whatsapp. 🔥 I have so much love for you girl thanks for everything! Now go and shine bright like a diamond! 💎🏆

Fear regret. For me there’s nothing worse than the regret of not trying. Not knowing what I really could have achieved. ⠀
So whatever it is you want to achieve - start working on it. You might not get there, but there is no failure in trying!
🌀I've been a bit quiet on here whilst I processed my thoughts, which I still haven't quite done.
🌀After 39 weeks and 3 shows, my comp season has finally finished with a 4th place at @ukdfba UK & Internationals.
🌀I would be lying if I said I wasn't gutted with the placing as I was gunning for the top 3, but Bodybuilding is the most subjective sport where we have such small control over the results and we have to accept where we come each time.
🌀Right now my honest thoughts are that I'm not done and that I haven't had my closure to the season.
But this is the time to take on the feedback and take myself into a long off season to build some muscle back onto these bones.
🌀Its also a time to work on my other identities that may have slipped during this time: a girlfriend, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a colleague and a professional.
🌀Fill my life with other goals that don't revolve around aesthetics, bodyfat levels and sparkly bikinis.
🌀It wasn't my time to become champion this year, but this sport is about emotional patience. So we're going to sit tight and work my ass off behind the scenes to make it my time in years to come.
Thank you to everyone that sent me such lovely messages; I'll be replying now I'm slowly coming back to reality!

My knowledge of training has developed hugely since my first proper gaining phase. Back then I wasn't really doing my research, I kinda picked a programme, stuck with it for a while, then moved on. Never did i apply high frequency to my training, and never did I train with a purpose to build a certain area or shape. I just went HAM every session, and to be fair that was probably the right thing to do at the time.
Learn to do the basics brilliantly, and then build on that when the time is right. ✌🏽

The Law Of Opposites
According to Newton’s Third Law, all forces come in pairs. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
The very challenges inherent in life make it possible to thrive. Without said challenges, there would be nothing to overcome. You can’t possibly have “the best” of times without simultaneously having “the worst” of times.
To know sweetness, you must also know bitterness. To know victory, you must also know defeat. To know and appreciate health, you must also be acquainted with sickness. To know happiness, you must also know sadness. Without darkness, there could be no light.
Without opposites and without contrast, you couldn’t possibly have a choice. But you do have a choice. Thus, you are empowered.
You can choose to love deeply at the price of suffering. You can choose growth at the price of difficulty and challenge. You can choose refinement at the price of discipline and humility.
The more extreme the difficulty, the more extreme the growth. The law of opposites — equal and opposite reactions.
“Why can’t you hold your body weight”
I used to hear this from numerous people who used to laugh when I couldn’t do a pull up, push up etc.
I was incredibly weak, I had no upper body strength at all.
When performing movements such as a pull up, comments like that still ring in my head.
I’m currently 92KG and I’ve included an extra 22.5kg for extra resistance.
When I feel like I’m struggling I always refer back to those comments that give me that extra bit of motivation.
Motivation and creating the correct mentality is key in this game. A strong mentality is vitally important not just in the gym, but in social aspects also.

Weight has actually been fairly stable lately so seem to have been getting a bit of a recomposition effect.
Have been trying best to hit training hard whilst being smart with the diet, protein distribution and including carbups every week which will have a lot to do with the result achieved.
Will be hitting it hard the next 4 weeks leading up to the shoot with the @studio9fitness_ crew to get as peeled as possible.
Will assess where I want to go from there.
Either shred a tiny bit more to start off massing phase super lean or maintain where I get to for a month to stabilise weight ready to start massing in December 💪🏻

The stage shots are back from the British Finals! Hurrah!
I'm so proud of getting this far in my first ever season. We kept working and made massive progress each time, not just in my body but in my confidence, which is personally the most important part.
To my fantastic and amazing coaches @ashmatic007 for his time, patience and motivation. And of course @yorkysgymsw17 for her belief, inspiration, sass, knowledge and most importantly cuddles.
I've learnt so much to make me better at my job, but surprisingly I've learnt so much about myself along the way. After a long season it's time to relax, enjoy and of course....grow!
Huuuuuge shout out to @marcusluther1 for the phenomenal classes that shredded my legs and puuuuushed me to be my best. I loved and hated every second.

Haven’t used a t-bar in a while so was a nice little change whilst training at JD yesterday.
I’ve really found driving my chest into the pad and my head/chin forward (rather than initiating the move by pulling my head BACKWARDS) to help keep stress off of my lower back through me overarching like a mofo.
These felt NOICE.
