Loving this recipe from @donnahaymagazine for silverbeet and artichoke Israeli couscous risotto. It gives you all the feel goods of a creamy risotto without the stirring or fuss! Winner! I swapped silverbeet with cavolo nero and topped it with a good glug of olive oil, because everything is better with olive oil 😁

Happy #Diwali ! What joy to taste #aretechocolate of California's new bars from Indian cacao, with dear Kim of #cocoaandco ! 🌞
The Jangareddygudem origin was particularly nice, gentle, and balanced, with a lovely note of banana at the finish! 💛
And yes, I staged the bars on the cloth tote bag I was carrying, for a #chocolateandatextile moment!
We were extremely fortunate to be taken by good friends to this 2 Michelin star vegetarian kaiseki restaurant last night. I can't possibly describe this enchanting meal other than to say it felt like a dream. From the fairytale lantern lit garden setting stop Mt Atago, the utterly charming service (the chef heard we were from Scotland and came out to talk about whisky with us), and the astoundingly inventive, exquisitely crafted dishes, each more delicious than the last. Tomorrow, with slightly heavy hearts, we head home. If you are looking for a hugely interesting, scenic and safe place to travel, consider Japan. I will be posting about our two trips to Japan on my blog in the next few weeks, full of tips, stories, links and images. Is it a place you've been? Or would like to visit? 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🍱🍜🍠🍣🍙🍘🍥🍚🍶🗻🗾🏯🗼⛩️🚄 #japantravel#tokyofood#tokyolife#daigo#michelinstars#vegetarianfoodshare#eattokyo#eatingout#lovefood#kaiseki
Wanton meeeee 🍝 // generally love dried noodles of this sort (esp meepok!!!), the only thing is that it cools soooo fast, after a few mouthfuls and the noodles are cold :( // feelin under the weather today *sniffs* 😷
H A P P Y D I W A L I 🎉 - Diwali is one of my favourite festivals out of the many we celebrate in India, this festival takes me back to my childhood undoubtedly, the memories of rangoli making, diyas, crackers only phuljhadi in my case🙈, Indian Sweets, gende ke phoolo ki mala for decorating the house and some special things that we do or buy only on this day. Exchanging sweets and gifts with family and friends was also one of the major event during childhood because as kids we were very curious to know what we got from our uncles, aunts, friends and neighbors, small joys and extreme happiness, all this sums up Diwali for me.😊 Away from home and living in another country makes me miss all the festival's a lot and I try to compensate it by cooking a feast on special occasions like these for my family. From past one week we foodies are literally celebrating Diwali virtually through @instagram and it's nice to share so much love & learnings through our pictures. Here are some coconut dry fruit ladoos for more sweetness in your lives.♥️ Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous Diwali, peace and love this Diwali and always 💕 #Diwali

#🍴 Treated to tea out last night at @the_chiquito . My starter was chilli beetroot and feta tacos. We got a Cheesey garlic bread to share, which was amazing. Forgot to snap a picture of my main before I started stuffing my face so it's half (mostly) eaten. It was sweet potato and feta enchiladas. Also got a chilli and coriander Margarita with was awesome. 😊 #WhatVegetariansEat#VegetarianFood#Vegetarian#VegetarianFoodShare#Chiquito#Chiquitos 🍃

Carbs. Best friend or worst enemy? 🤔
How about vital for our existence? Every cell in our bodies run off glucose. However, not all carbs were created equal. .
There are two types of carbs, similarly to women, being simple and complex (although the overwhelming majority of women fall into the latter category) 💁🏼 (also I’m kidding, feminists please don’t kill me in my sleep 🤦🏼♀️
If you want to eat simple carbs, you may as well eat paper because they probably have about the same nutritional value. Simple carbs contain mostly sugar that gets absorbed and released into our bodies at lightning speed resulting in sugar highs and lows and leave you craving more. Simple carbs include white rice, most cereals, white pastas, white bread, muffins, biscuits etc. 🥖🥐🥞🍰🍪
Complex carbs are the good guys. They contain starch and fibre, resulting in a gradual release of glucose, giving us a more stable source of energy, and leaving us feeling satisfied for longer. Complex carbs include all the fruits and veggies and grains like quinoa, millet, and brown rice and food that has been made with whole wheat, rather than bleached cake flour. 🍠🌽🍅🍌 #eatyourveggies ✌🏼
