My new @fox_and_moon food diary just arrived! I'm on week 8 of my current one and I literally can't live without it now... It definitely helps to keep me on the straight and narrow! As well as the daily food log pages, I love the weekly meal plan and the goals page and weekly review pages 💕💕💕
Saturday is my favorite, but when it comes to my fitness, it’s just another day I choose to show up and WORK 🙌
Out of the house by 715 today to get these hairs cleaned up and then off to the Cape, but I wasn’t about to miss my workout!
So up and at ‘em at 545 this morning.

People always say to me they don’t know where to start when wanting to get healthy, fit or lose weight 🤸🏽♂️ But don’t try to complicate the situation, as really you do know exactly how to start, but procrastinating is not one of them...(I was a pro at that for years 😅) To start you literally need to stand up, put one foot in front of the other and even do 10 or 15 minutes of your fav exercise! (....don’t tell me you don’t have a fav...😜you soon will!) Do anything, walk, jog, yoga, cycle, skip, heck even dance in your bedroom! Anything to get you moving! And voila what do you know you’ve started! 💯 Starting doesn’t have to be an hour marathon run, cycling for 30kms, you just need to commit to move, get active and start to eat better too! 🙌🏽 over time your fitness and cardio vascular will improve and you will feel better and be able to do 20,30,45 minutes of exercise! Try new activities, the ones that you enjoy more and get better at you will soon start to crave doing them! Small improvements over the weeks will start to show 💃🏼 It’s all about finding what works for you, what you can stick to and fit in your routine! Everyone’s journey will look different but just focus on your best self and what you are capable of! (& I promise that’s more than you think!) 🏋🏽♂️
I'm having pancakes for breakfast this morning 🥞 TREAT YO'SELF 💅🏼 This is a stack of @slimmingworld friendly pancakes for just half a syn - I used 40g porridge oats (HEX B), blended with 2 eggs (free/protein), a tsp vanilla essence (free), 3/4 tsp baking powder (0.5 syn), and a pinch of sweetener. Once this was blended until smooth, I folded in 60ml fat free Greek yoghurt (free). I fried them individually both sides using coconut flavour @frylighthq and topped with strawberries and raspberries (speed) 🍓🍓🍓I got 8 pancakes out of this mix! 🥞
The Pistol 🔫or One Legged Squat is the king of lower-body exercises! The traditional barbell back squat🏋 just doesn’t hold a thread to the pistol.
The pistol is a very challenging exercise and those that can perform the exercise with ease have incredible leg strength as well as balance and flexibility.
The benefits of mastering the pistol squat are enormous👌! First off the pistol squat requires great balance, leg strength, flexibility and coordination. Chances are you will never see anyone get this movement on their first attempt due to the difficulty of the exercise.
The most effective exercise for building up to the pistol is to perform the pistol while assisting yourself by holding👋 on to an object. Perform 3-4 sets of 3 reps. Over-time you will require less and less assistance from your upper-body and eventually you will be able to bang these out with perfect form.
