Coutinho to Barcelona, why not?
Philippe Coutinho has reportedly reiterated his desire to join Barcelona, as Liverpool have opened the door to a possible January exit.
The Brazilian was the subject of a number of bids from the La Liga side during the summer transfer window, as the Reds dug their heels in, rejecting a final offer of more than £100million.
Coutinho is back in action with Jurgen Klopp's side, netting in the 3-2 win at Leicester on Saturday evening.
But according to Spanish outlet Sport, Liverpool are now 'contemplating the possibility' of selling the 25-year-old to the Catalan side.
They say that Coutinho has again expressed his desire to leave the club and following talks between his representatives and Fenway Sports Group, a departure next summer or even in January could now occur.
At the weekend Klopp insisted the Liverpool fans have forgiven Coutinho for wanting to leave the club. “It says a lot about the relationship between our supporters and Phil," said the German, after watching him fire home a first-half free-kick. “When he came on for 15-20 minutes nobody knew how Anfield would react. “Anfield pushed and there that’s what I really love in football. “Maybe we don’t always agree in each moment like people are, but when we have a short minute to think then we remember we are family. “That’s how they react and I really loved it. “That helped Phil a lot so he can play football, concentrate on football and he can perform.” Follow @barcaeslavida for more posts about Barcelona!!!
