Gluing boards together is a mainstay of most woodworkers. Then, of course, comes the glue removal and then sanding the glue lines and the boards to be as flat and even as possible. To achieve this, it is common to use the flat side of a square, or any other flat edged ruler or edge, but knowing where to sand and where not to sand can be confusing. To help me remember this, I will mark low spots on a board with circles, which means areas to stay away from and high spots with "Xs" to help indicate where sanding should take place. The Xs, of course, disappear quickly, which they should and can be remarked depending on the wood, the grit and how far down they need to be taken to help make the board flat.
I'd say about a year ago I was watching some documentary on Netflix or something & put this one in my notes. This concept was so clear to me. It made so much sense. Whenever I come across a line in a song, quote from a movie, art on the street, whatever. I try to jot it down in my phone just so I have a way to refer back to it. Today, while thinking of what the quote of the day should be this is the first one to catch my eye. I was experiencing what felt like endless friction. Whenever I felt myself moving, I'd fall right back down to where I started. I wasn't accepting the friction as a blessing. I didn't realize that I was experiencing friction because I was a force to be reckoned with. You have to seek the force. Objects in motion lose the energy they possess when experiencing friction. When you're in "motion" you cannot let that friction defeat you. Don't let it win and take away your motivation. In order to overcome friction, you must remove the material causing it. Remove those negative energies you've allowed yourself to be surrounded by for so long. Remove anything that doesn't benefit you or push you closer to success. Your next option, is to increase your momentum so that the material slowing your energy burns out. In order to get ahead of you , they gotta catch up to you. Speed up, keep working, keep moving. Honest post. I am self conscious as hell about my face looking fat which is why I hardly ever post selfies and it takes a lot for me to do it. I fear the double chin more than the plague y'all! I literally cannot stand it if someone catches me at a bad angle and I have a double chin. It makes me feel less than. But I just want you to know we ALL have bad angles and we ALL have those certain areas that we hate about ourselves, but those things do change in time. When I started this lifestyle, I honestly didn't want to look at myself in the mirror nor did I want to take selfies with my actual camera. Only with Snapchat because we all know that selfie looks better, but here I am today posting this because I want you to know it will get better and though you still will be self conscious; your confidence will grow! Words will never describe the moment I hit my rock bottom. The picture on the left was me years ago. In and out of toxic relationships Not knowing how to deal with my toughest times in life I turned to the worst. How I avoided pain. Never lost sight of being a mother to my kids okay , I was a functioning addict. I always handle my business despite how rough is was. By any means I did my best and always provided for my kids with their needs. Anyways time over came I buckled down and got MY Life back and made decision and started doing things RIGHT. I've been surprised by how much this darkness affects me. I can see how so many people get to this vicious cycle of craving sugar. This darkness makes you feel so tired, and you need boost of energy. You take the easy option and eat sugar, which gives you energy spike for tiny moment and then you crash and crash so hard. You get totally addicted to sugar and bad quick choices of food, which makes you feel tired, sluggish...then you think you need more sugar and the vicious cycle is set. Gradually you loose energy to exercise and then you find yourself on the sofa stuffing your face with sugar and fast food and having no interest or energy to exercise. Fight it keep exercising, choosing the healthy foods, take your vitamins and minerals and rest enough each night, I promise you have more energy, feel happy and good in your skin and you will maintain positive thoughts, which then attracts positive things in your life. Sugar is evil, it should be banned. Less you eat it the better simple things like vegetables, fruits and berries taste. When something is too good to be true, it normally is...well my thoughts this Thursday.
AAA (arms, abs and ass) that was no joke!!! Modified it up again like only I can and my butt is still on fire 🔥 from two days ago. My gosh this workout is well working. 💪🏻 making it my obsession! Get obsessed with your health people!!! We only have one life! We only have one body! Day 4 your done! Now on to see another specialist- yup tell me about it! 🤪 sure wish they would figure out what is wrong with me so I could go back to being “normal” so the pain would go away. This 24/7 stuff can bite me. I have learned to live with it now. It just is a part of me. My knee recovery is coming slowly but surely and these workouts are frustrating because I used to be able to kill them.
I now can’t bend like I used to, kneel on the ground barely (first aid/cpr is part of my job function and I wouldn’t be able to do that right at this moment), I can’t do so many of the movements and when I think about it well it makes me cry 😭 because of what I lost on that day in August.
So when I tell you to listen to your body and GO to the doctor and don’t be a hero. Take it from me you don’t want to loose this. You don’t want the constant reminder of what once was.......... my surgeon told me “you will never run again” “you will never dance again”! Those words kill me!! Like virtually kill me. When I write them I cry 😢
It’s my life now and I have to live it. 😔 I have to get over it and grieve it. It is what it is. I have to modify it just like this workout. I have to either learn to live with it or sit on the sidelines like I had been for so long.
Life is what YOU make it! Some days do suck the living heck out of you. Truly they do. However you have to move forward 🙏🏻 somehow you have to look for the rainbow 🌈 and find your way!
If you need to reach out there are people willing to help. Just reach out your hands and there will be someone. The hardest thing I learned was asking for help. 👍🏻 It takes great strength 💪🏻 to ask.
