Happy World Vegan Day! 🌱🐷 Two and a half years ago my life changed for the better when I became vegan. It has been so good for my body and my soul 💚 Going vegan might be intimidating but little things like cutting down on meat and cutting out companies that test products on animals dedinitely add up! I look forward to seeing how veganism continues to grow over the next year 🌍
Today is the final day of @mhfnz's photo challenge for Mental Health Awareness Week! The theme is #natureiskeyto ... To me, nature is key to a peaceful mind. Whether it's catching the ferry, or taking my dog to the park, I always find myself more relaxed and happier after I've been outside. This challenge has made me realize I don't get outside enough! It's tough spending 9 hours in the city, and then finding time for wrestling, the gym, my friends and family, my boyfriend, and myself, but I live in a beautiful place and I want to explore it more.
Before I wrap up this challenge I want to discuss what it's all about - mental health awareness. If you are someone, or know someone, who struggles with mental health, please reach out and discuss it. If you need help, get it. Learn to show empathy towards those who deal with it. Mental health is so misunderstood, and there needs to be so much more support for it. Thank you Mental Health Foundation NZ for all the amazing work you do!
