This is so funny 😂 but unfortunately may ring true for many. It’s easy to sleep in, say we have no time, make careless food choices then blame ‘genetics’ for what’s going on (or not going on) with our body. Truth is though, many things can be altered, reversed or at the very least manipulated to some extent with an active, healthy lifestyle. Stop blaming your genetics and use them to work for you. Today’s Monday, start fresh and see what changes can be made between now and Xmas (4 weeks) - you’ll be pleasantly surprised 😉 #genetics #empoweringwomen #consciousliving #powerofnow

While this is a beautiful picture, those colors actually have value beyond being aesthetically pleasing.  Each one contains unique essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and more.  And while yes, there is some crossover, there are also certain nutrients you can only get from certain colored foods.  So, for optimal nutrition always try to eat in technicolor! 📸 @thrivemags

Check it out ⬇️ • 1/2 cup natural greek yoghurt with 1/4 cup blueberries • 20 olives • 3 squares/1 row of loving earth chocolate • 1 Apple • 2 rice thins with peanut butter • 29g mozzarella with basil leaves and 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (think caprese salad) • 2 cups air-popped popcorn • Carrot sticks with 1 Tbsp hummus

And on the topic of nuts...here’s what 100 calories looks like 🙈 (and why I always opt for almonds over all others 🤣) ...keeping in mind that if you are eating breakfast/lunch/dinner, your additional two-three snacks throughout the day should be around the 100-150 cal range.
