Grass always seemed to be greener on the other side. I’ve learnt to stop wondering what life would be like being someone else and just start watering my own grass because it’s more rewarding growing myself instead of tearing myself apart. I became happier that way because sometimes you’re your harshest critic.
Got back to Sydney yesterday from Byron Bay and getting ready to go to Israel first thing tomorrow morning. Will be spending a month in Tel Aviv with my uni to work with a couple tech startups. Any recommendations on where to go in Israel?
[BYRON BAY ROADTRIP] We, (@jjordanhhelton, @sweeetalk, @itsemmatan and I) left Sydney at 5AM this morning to drive to the border of NSW and Queensland in Byron Bay. Managed to arrive at 2:30PM still 9 and half hours later.. which if you think about is longer than my flight from Sydney to Singapore 😂
I am in love with the airbnb we booked! So relaxing but dying from lack of air conditioning.
Swipe for a photo of me actually dead from the heat 👉🏻.
Also keep an eye out for my Byron Bay highlights for things we get up to!
Happy 23rd birthday to my best friend and other half @jjordanhhelton!! Hope you’ve had an amazing 2 days with last nights Chinese feast with my fam and today’s sky diving surprise. Thank you for always being patient with me, taking care of me when I’m sick, always going out of your way to make me happy and cooking me lots of yummy food 😍☺️ even though you’re in Australia this year and away from your own fam, hope we’ve managed to make it extra special 💕 ... also swipe left to see his totally real pre-skydiving reaction 😂 (but really, he was excited)
I realise sometimes I am so eager to see the end result I feel discouraged when I don’t see immediate returns. Could be studying a language, going to the gym but small steps compound into the biggest differences overtime. That’s what I need to remind myself everyday and just enjoy the process.
Update: finally squatting 65KG!!! ☺️Not a huge number but few months ago I could barely squat the bar by itself 😂🙌🏻
This is currently my messy af but at least colour co-ordinated half bookshelf (can’t see all the other black books underneath). On my journey towards 1 book a week even though my first day insta inspiration failed hahaha.
Currently reading: I am Malala. Suggestions to what I should read next?
[expectation vs reality: 1] 2018 brings a new chapter of my instajourney. Whilst 2017 was an experimental stage on Instagram, I didn’t really have a specific purpose I wanted to achieve. 2018 I’m going to use insta to express my true self by doing a 365 expectation vs reality series of what is posed on social media (putting my best foot forward 😂) and what is the real me.
Swipe right to check it out 👉🏻
It’s been hell of a fun 2017. From Singapore, Hawaii, HK, Shanghai, competing in Japan, Jordan coming to Aus, attending conferences, studying with friends and getting shit done, I’m excited for more awesome adventures in 2018! See you on the other side 😍
What are some of your goals for 2018?
Shoutout to doers and hustlers// @vanessaleunggg just launched her new jewellery brand @lithegirl and like any friend who launches a new business, I have to go and purchase them.
Can I say though, I’ve been looking for dainty jewellery for a while and I am absolutely in love with all the pieces I got.
