Prep ↔️ Balance
I have finally learned balance 🙌🏼 This chapter in my fitness journey is my favorite, to say the least. I’ve worked on balance for the last 4 years; My body has seen it all, no muscle to overweight, “skinny fat” to BEAST... This happy medium finally allows me to enjoy the gym again. -
Every journey has its chapters, from beginning to end, your story will never be the same as anyone else’s. -
So what’s in store for 2018? Will I compete this year? I don’t know and I am honestly okay with that answer. I enjoy where I’m at and being able to help others feel good about themselves. I have a few shows in mind but have not committed to anything. I’ll keep y’all updated ;) #2018

Today I let one of my favorite coaches @katalvarado04 push me through my workout. I told you guys I have been switching up my workouts lately and will be sharing a lot of what I do in and out of the gym. Today was 1 hour @otfpecosranch with cardio and a lot of stability training 😫💪🏼

How did I get into Fitness? My parents. A little about myself... My mom is a runner and my dad rides bicycles, they have always been into fitness and ate decently healthy (besides the Sunday cookies, of course) My mom enjoys triathlons, so she talked me into running my first triathlon about 4 months after I had my youngest son in 2012. My next one was ran with my oldest son last year. Then this year he did it all by himself! I couldn’t be more thankful for my parents and their example to not only me but to my children. I LOVE YOU!
As humans, from my experience, we work harder when we have a set goal and there is a finish line. —
Think about it... In school, it takes a test to make you study. At work, it takes that promotion opportunity to make you work harder and more efficient. In sports, it takes that game you want to win, to push yourself to put in that extra work. So what happens after we’ve reached our goals? —
For me, I need that consistent push. (That’s how we grow right?) Every week I challenge myself to change up at least one workout or one exercise. (I’m a creature of habit!) This last week, I challenged myself to do more body weight/explosive movements as a superset or a circuit. This next week, I’ve challenged myself to incorporate more TRX movements (Functional training) but I need some ideas you guys... give me a challenge! 👇🏼 What’s your next goal? ⬇️⬇️⬇️
