What I FOCUS ON when I’ve only worked out TWO TIMES a week for the past FOUR MONTHS 🏋🏼‍♀️ {Throwback to the beginning of my #fitnessjourney on Instagram until today. I’ve already had a few more #transformations since this one 🦋}
I’m not my leanest but still happy with my body given my current regimen! 
EVERY MORNING with breakfast: 
I take @warriorfuel_supps HERS Pink Burst #preworkout {Code: jessicafit} whether I workout or not. I have noticed a big difference with appetite control, fat loss, energy & focus compared to last year when I decreased my workout time and lost tons of progress. I feel more productive on the days that I take it versus the days that I don’t I’ve noticed.
Workout Day 1
WEIGHT TRAINING:
Pick 4 or 5 leg exercises & 1 glute exercise
Do 3 X 6-10 reps
I usually do leg extensions, leg curls, leg presses, seated or standing calf raises & either glute bridges on the seated leg extension machine or lying leg curl machine or glute kickbacks. (I alternate weeks doing both legs versus singles on the extensions, curls & calf raises and usually do 3 sets of both legs and 3 sets of singles on the leg press machine every leg day). CARDIO:
20 minutes of HIIT followed by 10-30 minutes of LISS {I use the elliptical and alternate 90 secs slow or moderate pace with 30 secs sprints}. I’ll do another post on Day 2 since this is getting a bit lengthy.😉😘 Weekend plans anyone? I’m planning on getting my second workout in! 🤞🏼😅

OCTOBER & I have a LOVE/HATE relationship... On the one hand, the most beautiful colors emerge, I get to celebrate 3/7 of my babies’ birthdays 🎂 & it’s pumpkin picking season🎃🤗 on the other hand all the birthdays, extra curricular activities, & festivities means more junk food & less time for workouts 😐 I still haven’t gotten into the gym ONCE this week, but I’m headed out the door right now! In my next post I think I’ll outline what I focus on when I only get two workouts in a week in, since that was one question I remember getting recently, so stay tuned! Happy Friday friends!! 💛

What EATING INTUITIVELY means to me. The biggest help I had with eating “intuitively” was teaching myself how to count macros and implementing it. I researched lots of YouTube videos & online articles as my foundation. That foundation was built upon when I worked with my fitness coach from February through June. The first week I followed a meal plan to make sure I truly understood what each meal should be like to hit my macros. Since stopping counting macros I’ve been able to use the following to preserve as much muscle as possible while keeping the fat off. 
1. Make sure each meal is mostly protein. 
2. Stop eating when I’m full. Make sure I eat all of the protein source and discard the fat and carbs if I get full. (My main protein sources are egg whites, cottage cheese, chicken and fish. Carbs are potatoes, oatmeal, fruit & veggies. Fats I keep to a minimum since there is enough of it in my protein sources, but I do put some peanut butter on a banana or sometimes eat a few nuts).
3. Get over the fact that I may have to “waste” some food. Many of us have been conditioned as kids to “finish our plate” but if you’re listening to your body, that may not always be what’s best for you. 
4. If I start feeling less lean, I add more cardio & begin to cut back on the extra carbs, sweets & fried foods. I realized taking little bites of my kids’ toast or cereal was sabotaging my efforts, so I’ve made a conscious effort to resist the temptation. 
5. If I need a snack I usually go for low fat or non-fat Greek yogurt, beef jerky, or protein chips.

My cardio & weightlifting aren’t nearly as comprehensive. I’ve gotten a ton of questions about my @warriorfuel_supps #preworkout {CODE: jessicafit} that I take because I really feel like it’s given me a huge edge since decreasing my working out time the past 4 months by increasing my metabolism and controlling my appetite. More craziness this week as COPS RAID MY HOME! Yeah. Long story short, the police start banging on our doors and windows around 10:00ish pm. My husband was sleeping and freaked so he called 911 {Yes, he called the cops on the cops 😂} they tell us they have a search warrant, so we should probs open the door. 👍🏼 So we let them in & the first thing they say to my husband is, “So, you know that lady you were with on Saturday?” I’m like thinking, “WTH??? You were with another woman!!?” But the cops continued, “She was drawing blood for your life insurance, and she said she saw a dead body and some blood in your basement. Apparently, my son was asleep in his bed and she saw him and thought he was dead, so she reported it. 👌🏼💀 They searched the house found nothing and everyone went on their merry way. 😅 I asked my hubby why he would have the nurse do the assessment in our basement instead of the main level, and he said he wanted to surprise me and didn’t want me to see her there. Surprise me?
